The big scam!

The jerks that wrote this stuff have raked in tens of millions of dollars from people just like you by forcing you to purchase their fake "security software." It looks very similar to the Windows Security Center and other familiar products, which makes it even more deceptive and dangerous. Why can't remote computer support providers fix these viruses?

Traditional remote support requires your infected Windows installation to operate, meaning that all remote support solutions allow the virus to hide itself from the remote computer support provider. It's a classic "Catch-22" situation: to remove the virus, you need an uninfected system to remove it with; remote support software requires a working system to run on top of; and the remote support provider can't clean the infected system you're already running because you run their remote access software on that infected system. LogMeIn, VNC, and Windows Remote Desktop Connection all run on top of the infected copy of Windows! Most computer technicians do the same thing on-site or in-shop, trying to fix an infection while already running the virus in the background.
